About Pastor John Blatzheim

Pastor John Blatzheim grew up in Minneapolis, MN. He completed his undergraduate studies at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and got his Masters of Arts in Management from Bellevue University in Nebraska.

Pastor John worked in the construction industry, including the positions of Vice President at a cement company and Executive Vice President at a concrete company. After 20+ years in the concrete business, the Lord called him to full-time ministry. 

The Lord called John to inner-city ministry at the Brookside Methodist Church Children’s Program operated by Robert McKinney to provide a breakfast for the kids on Saturday mornings. After the back and forth of corporate life and part-time ministry in the early 2000s, the Lord called John into full-time inner-city ministry in 2011.

Pastor John and his wife Barbie were married in 1977. They have three children and seven grandchildren.

Pastor John is in the process of continuing education to obtain his degree in theological studies. He is a district-licensed pastor.
